Man Laws

Have you seen the Men of the square table discussing the Man Laws? Miller Lite has a new campaign where famous men like Burt Reynolds, Triple H, Jerome Bettis, and several other men sit around and discuss what should be a Man Law. They have discussed the following: How many days do you have to wait to date your best friend's ex-girlfriend; Can you take home the un-drank beer from a party; and Can you stick you finger in my beer when carrying it from the bar? These have become controversial because they are a bit male chauvinistic. I find them very funny anyway. Check them out at the links above to make up your own mind.

Cars Trailer, The 43rd Pres, and FedEx vs. a Storm!

Cars Trailer #2 is up! -- And boy is it Shiny!

A message from our 43rd President --  Al Gore.  --  One of the funniest things to come out of SNL this year.

FedEx vs The Thunderstorm -- Beyond the fact that the video is interesting in that it shows the race to get landed, the music make it frantic flying even better.

Caddyshack by bunnies in 30 seconds - I love these mini movies/cartoons/rip-offs.  More are here at Angry Alien.

Dancin' Tom

Dancin' Tom doing his “White Boy Scientology Dance” (named by Bryan). The best part is that he is on BET, where people know how to dance. Now we know why he did not make it onto Dancing with the Stars.

The World's Dullest Blog, Weebles Wooble thoughts, and Homestarrunner

Lyrics, Superheroes, Dance, and shaving your {bleep}...

Need the lyrics to a song? Try LyricWiki. Since some of these lyrics sites have been shut down by the RIAA, no telling how long it will remain up.

SciFi and Stan Lee present:  Who Wants to be a Super Hero?

The evolution of dance! - Comedian struts his stuff.... I would be exhausted after doing all of that!

A shaver for those of us that were born with a little extra testosterone.  This is a different take on the same shaver that was released in England & Australia earlier.  They got this site!  Which is funner is some ways since the Kiwi Fruits are obviously a male body part!  Warning:  Some in the audience may be offended... not necessarily due to the content but the topic...

Battlestar Galactica, Simpsons style! - I would expect more of these with the new Caprica spinoff coming out!

Ever wonder what the MS WinXP Home EULA actually means? - This guy did and explains it in regular, everyday English!

Enjoy!

How fast is your computer's Internet connection?

From time to time, I wonder how fast one Internet connection is compared to another. Speakeasy is a website that lets you see how fast your connection is.
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Below are sites with some other tools and information you may find useful to test / tweak your broadband connection.

1) SpeedGuide.net Tools
http://www.speedguide.net/sg_tools.php

TCP Optimizer - The TCP Optimizer is a free Windows program designed to help optimize your Internet connection. The program makes it easy to find the best MaxMTU value, test latency and tweak the important Registry Parameters.

TCP/IP Analyzer - The SpeedGuide TCP/IP Analyzer is a program designed to display your Internet connection parameters, extracted directly from TCP packets sent by your browser to our server. The Analyzer program then displays recommendations based on the settings extracted from the headers of those packets.

2) DSL Reports

A wealth of information regarding broadband Internet connections can be found here.

News - Reviews - Forums - Tools - more

One of my favorites is this list of speed tests:

Another one here is DrTCP

3) What is My IP?

4) IP Chicken
http://www.ipchicken.com/

5) PingPlotter
A visual pinging/traceroute tool to see how long each step of your Internet connections takes to get from here to there.

I hope some of these tools are useful to you. Enjoy!

Tennis Ball Challenge

Here is a new game to play when you are bored. The Tennis Ball Challenge is a quick game that challenges you to try to keep the tennis ball airborne. I was yelling at my monitor like John McEnroe before it was over.
